Toyota Hyryder 2025: Strengthening its position in the Indian SUV market, Toyota Motors has introduced the newly updated Urban Cruiser Hyryder for 2025. It has more premium features than before and a new V AWD variant. Notably, it now includes a 6-speed automatic transmission, which will replace the previous 5-speed manual gearbox.
The ex-showroom price of the 2025 Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder is Rs 11.34 lakh, which is about Rs 20,000 more than the old model. This SUV has been popular since before and this update brought by the company is also being liked by customers.
Toyota HiRider Features
With the new V AWD variant, the HiRider has now reached a more premium segment. This new variant has a 6-speed automatic transmission and is offered with 4WD capability. This has improved both the performance and ride quality of the car. Apart from this, the features available in the V variant are more modern than before.
The interior and convenience department of the SUV has also undergone major changes. Now the HiRider has been equipped with features like 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting in the roof line, sunshades on the rear doors and an AQI monitor. The tire pressure monitoring system has also been made standard for all variants except E.
Engine and Safety
In terms of safety, Toyota has made a big change and now 6 airbags are standard in all variants. These include front, side and curtain airbags. Some select automatic variants also get an electronic parking brake (EPB).
In the engine department, this SUV is offered in two variants – mild-hybrid and strong hybrid. The mild hybrid variant is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that generates 103.06 PS of power and 136.8 Nm of torque. It has 5MT and 6AT transmission options for 2WD. With the CNG version, this car gives a mileage of 26.6 km/kg, while the 2WD 5MT petrol version gives a mileage of 21.11 km/l.
The strong hybrid variant is powered by Toyota’s 1.5-litre petrol engine coupled with an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery pack. Its combined power output is 115.56 PS. The mileage of this hybrid car with e-CVT transmission is 27.97 km/l, which is considered very impressive in this segment.
