However, even after almost six months of the year 2025, Toyota has not introduced any new SUV in India. Therefore, many customers were waiting to see when Toyota would bring its new cars. Finally, Toyota is now preparing to introduce 3 new SUVs in the Indian market soon. These include electric to hybrid models.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Electric SUV
First of all, let’s talk about the Toyota Urban Cruiser Electric SUV. This will be Toyota’s first fully electric SUV, which was introduced at the Bharat Mobility Auto Show this year. This model is considered to be a rebadged version of the Maruti e-Vitara.
That is, the battery, features and equipment will be the same in both the vehicles, only the logo will be different. This electric SUV will mainly benefit those looking for an eco-friendly option. Its launch is expected after the prices of the Maruti e-Vitara are announced.
Toyota HiRider 7-seater
Talking about the second SUV, it is the 7-seater version of the Toyota HiRider. This new SUV will be built on the platform of the 5-seater HiRider currently in the market. This SUV is expected to have additional seating capacity and some design changes.
This SUV will be introduced with the aim of providing an economical alternative to expensive models like the Toyota Innova. The Toyota HiRider 7-seater is likely to be launched in the market by the end of 2025 or early 2026.
Toyota Fortuner Hybrid
The third and most talked about SUV is the hybrid version of the Toyota Fortuner. There have been many discussions and rumors about this model since the last year. This model was introduced in South Africa in 2024 and is now ready to be launched in India.
The Toyota Fortuner Hybrid will be a more fuel-efficient and eco-friendly option compared to the conventional diesel version. Therefore, this SUV can be a good choice for customers who buy such cars.
