2020 Toyota Camry For Sale Review – As candidates for track tuning updates go, the two largest sedans in Toyota might not come to mind first, but the Toyota Camry For Sale and the Avalon TRD 2020 would like to surpass those expectations. Teamwork of the Toyota Racing Development Team (TRD) in collaboration with Calty, the design studio of the U.S. car manufacturer, The pair of sports sedans promises to be more than just a body kit.
In the United States, at least, TRD is more aware as a truck package. After all, the nameplate is commonly associated with lifted pickups and SUV’s with improved talents off the road.
For the Toyota Camry For Sale and the Avalon TRD, however, a different type of performance was considered. Starting with the Camry SE and the Avalon XSE, a large number of changes have been introduced to the chassis and suspension, making the sedans firmer and stiffer. The new aerodynamic elements increase the aggressiveness of the designs.
The Toyota Camry SE For Sale already looked good after its redesign of the year 2018 model, and the TRD package does nothing to annoy that. A bright black front grille has a sports mesh insert, while the TRD exhaust tips in polished stainless steel close the back. It has supersonic Red paint, Windchill Pearl or Celestial Silver Metallic two-tone, or Midnight Black Metallic, and the outer plate is finished in black.
As for the wheels, they are also matte black, and with 19 x 8.5 inches are half an inch wider than the rims of the Toyota Camry SE. However, despite being bigger, Toyota says that each wheel is actually 3.1 pounds lighter. They Are Footwear with the summer tires Bridgestone Potenza 235/40R19, with the promise that there will be a better side grip and a faster turning response.
Meanwhile, the chassis has stiffer coil springs and front/rear stabilizer bars. Overall, there is a 44 percent increase in front roll stiffness and a 67 percent increase in the back. The new cushions developed by TRD are in charge of vertical and rolling movement.
In the cockpit, there are front seats upholstered in black sports SofTex with fabric inserts, red details and headrests embroidered in TRD with red seams. More red seams Appear on the leather-lined steering wheel, and the seat belts also match the red. The Change Knob receives a TRD logo in relief, and there are matching rugs.
For the Avalon TRD 2020, matte black alloy rims 19 x 8.5 inches also make a great weight change. In fact, they save 18 pounds of unsprung dough compared to the usual 19-inch rims of the Avalon XSE. They include the same TRD exhaust tips and the same four color options, with red stripes on aero add-ons.
Inside, the black SofTex sports front seats have ultra suede inserts, red accents and heating. TRD embroidered headrests with red seams, red seatbelts, leather steering wheel with red seams and embossed gear knob are also transferred.
What has not changed, however, is power. Both cars have the Toyota 3.5-liter V6 engine, which is good for 301 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque. That has not changed with respect to the motor train offering the versions without TRD of the cars, and the automatic transmission of 8 speeds is also transferred.
You Get, at least, change vanes, and Toyota says you’ve modified the components around the engine, even if it’s the same. A specially adapted cat-back double exhaust, for example, should sound more aggressive than the standard car.
Even if accelerating is not faster, the slowdown should be. 12.9 inch rotor front brakes are nearly one inch larger than standard brakes on normal XSE grade cars, and are folded up to double piston gauges. TRD also improved brake performance for more direct feedback.
Toyota Safety Sense-P, which includes pre-collision braking and other driver assistance technology, will be standard in both cars. Body kits include a new front splitter, aero side skirts, a trunk-cover spoiler and a rear diffuser.
The price of the two new cars has not been confirmed at this time, although a Camry IS 2020 starts at $25.550 and the Avalon XSE 2020 starts at $38.000. Toyota says that both TRD cars will also be limited in number, although it has not detailed exactly how many there will be. They’ll be on sale in the fall of 2020.
