2024 Toyota Tacoma Electric Redesign

Posted on

2024 Toyota Tacoma Electric – Toyota has recently introduced the concept vehicles that represent its next generation of electric vehicles. One looks like a mid-size truck that bears a striking resemblance to the Tacoma. Although the brand has not confirmed whether the model will be called Tacoma EV or when it could be launched in the United States, it could be an exciting prospect.

2024 Toyota Tacoma Electric

The current Tacoma is only available as a gas truck. It doesn’t have the diesel we’ve seen in competitors like the Chevy Colorado, and it doesn’t offer the fuel economy benefits of smaller vehicles like the Ford Maverick. Although Toyota invested heavily in hydrogen fuel cell electric cars, it is relatively late when it comes to electric vehicles.

While the notion of electrified pickup would not be entirely surprising, a Tacoma EV would represent a significant deviation from past tacoma generations. Just for reference, the larger Tundra pickup will be adding a hybrid variant for the first time called i-FORCE MAX for 2024. It’s unclear if a hybrid tachoma is also on the cards.

Toyota’s upcoming Electric Vehicle pickup could emerge with its so-called Beyond Zero (bZ) family of electric vehicles. Unfortunately, the deadline for the truck has not yet been released. As a result, we still don’t know if a potential tachoma could arrive as a 2023 or 2024 vehicle. The brand plans to introduce at least 30 vehicles worldwide by 2030.

Rumors of a redesign of Tacoma 2024 could point to something exciting for next year. An early report stated that the next-generation tachoma could share the same platform as the Tundra to save on development costs. We’ll have to wait to find out more about what to officially expect in terms of Tacoma production dates and prices.2024 Toyota Tacoma Electric Redesign

Toyota is in the process of overhauling its truck line, which began with the 2024 Tundra. Its other body-to-frame offerings will also get significant redesigns, including the mid-size Tacoma pickup. The Tacoma already outperforms medium-sized American trucks like the Chevrolet Colorado and the Ford Ranger, and next-generation upgrades will help continue its success.

The new 2024 Toyota Tacoma Electric will be built on Toyota’s new TNGA-F bodywork platform, which supports the new Tundra, and will also prop up the upcoming Sequoia and 4Runner SUVs. The Tacoma, like the Tundra, is likely to replace its rear leaf-spring suspension configuration with coil springs that should improve the truck’s road modes. Its closest competitors Chevy and Ford continue to use a leaf-spring configuration.

As seen in our artist’s illustration (above) of a TRD Pro model, we expect the Tacoma to take design cues from the new Tundra, especially on the grille, headlights and tail lights. It is likely to still be offered in extended cab and crew cab styles with multiple bed lengths.

Rumors suggest that the new Tacoma could use a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, and should be an improvement over Tacoma’s optional 3.5-liter V-6 that makes 278 horsepower and 265 feet of torque. One candidate could be the new 2.4-liter unit that produces 275 horsepower and 317 feet of torque on the Lexus NX350. A hybrid version of this engine could also be available, as Toyota is offering a hybrid version of the new Tundra. Toyota will have an electrified version of all models in its line in 2025. An automatic transmission will be standard, but we believe (and hope) that Toyota will continue to offer a manual gearbox in the new Tacoma

As with the new Tundra, the Tacoma’s cabin will be better equipped than the current generation, with nicer materials everywhere. Expect a touch screen larger than the current truck’s 8.0-inch screen (the Tundra measures 14.0 inches) and a digital-wide cluster available along with Toyota’s new infotainment system with standard Apple CarPlay wireless and Android Auto capability.

We should have more details on the new Toyota Tacoma soon, as the company is already testing prototypes. The new truck is expected to debut sometime in 2024 and go on sale later this year, although it is also possible that it will arrive after the 4Runner and Sequoia for the 2024 model year.

Toyota recently launched a concept vehicle, probably the next-generation VE. One of them is a medium-sized truck that is very similar to Tacoma. Although the brand has not confirmed whether the model will be called Tacoma EV or when it will be launched in the United States, it could be inspiring news.

Currently, the acoma is only available as a gas truck. It doesn’t have the diesel we’ve seen in competitors like the Chevy Colorado and doesn’t offer the fuel economy advantage of smaller vehicles like the Ford Maverick. Although Toyota invested heavily in hydrogen fuel cell electric cars, it was relatively late for electric vehicles.

While the idea of an electric pickup won’t be entirely surprising, the Tacoma EV will represent a significant deviation from previous generations of Tacoma. The most significant Tundra pickup will add the first hybrid variant called i-FORCE MAX for 2024.

Toyota’s next pickup of electric vehicles could reach the so-called Beyond Zero (BZ) family of electric vehicles. Unfortunately, no deadline has been set for the truck. So we still don’t know if the Tacoma EV could potentially arrive as a 2023 or 2024 vehicle. The brand said it plans to introduce at least 30 vehicles worldwide by 2030.2024 Toyota Tacoma Electric

Tacoma 2024 redesign rumors could show something interesting for next year. A preliminary report states that the next generation of Tacoma could share the same platform as the Tundra to save on development costs. The new fourth-generation Toyota Tacoma may be the most anticipated new truck to arrive in the coming years.

A lot of people love Tacoma – sales have always been strong, and mid-size trucks are more popular now. The quality of Tacoma’s buildings is excellent, and the resale value remains irrational. But almost everyone who loves the Tacoma wants something more, whether it’s better performance to challenge rivals like the Colorado ZR2 and Jeep Gladiator Rubicon, a more spacious, family-friendly cabin, or better fuel economy.

2024 Toyota Tacoma Electric Powertrain

Rumors suggest the new 2024 Toyota Tacoma Electric could use a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, and should be upgraded from the optional 3.5-liter V-6 Tacoma that produces 278 horsepower and 265 feet of torque. The candidate is a new 2.4-liter unit that produces 275 horsepower and 317 feet of torque on the Lexus NX350. A hybrid version of the powertrain may also be available, as Toyota offers a hybrid version of the new Tundra. Toyota has an electrified version of each model in its line for the year 2025.

Like the new Tundra, the Tacoma cab will be better equipped than the current generation, with better materials. Expect a touch screen larger than the current 8.0-inch screen (14.0-inch tundra size), digital indicator clusters available, and Toyota’s new infotainment system with Apple CarPlay’s standard wireless capabilities and Android Auto. The new truck will be released around 2024 and will go on sale towards the end, although it may also arrive after 4Runner and Sequoia for the 2024 model year.2024 Toyota Tacoma Electric Interior

2024 Toyota Tacoma Electric TRD Pro

The 2024 Toyota Tacoma Electric with suspension lift increases height by 1.5 inches at the front and 0.5 inches at the rear. Using Fox’s TRD tuned internal shock bypass, this crashed truck now offers a 36.4-degree exit angle and a 24.7-degree exit angle, while the breakout angle is 26.6 inches. Toyota claims all of these are better settings than the Tacoma TRD Pro 2021.

There’s more travel suspension than ever, thanks to the TRD’s forged control arm, providing an extra bounce. Goodyear’s 16-inch black alloy wheels with all-terrain tires are also on the list of new items, as is the “TRD Pro” seal on the back panel.

Toyota has removed the TRD Pro badge on the top door for the 2024 model year, replacing it with a black “Tacoma” mounted on the bottom of the door. The updated Tacoma TRD Pro gets exclusive Lime Metallic electric paint and graphics that match the blackened hood. Toyota will also sell the new truck in the midnight black metallic, metallic magnetic gray, or super white theme.

Toyota Tacoma Trail Edition 2024

With a retro-scented front grille with bronze lettering, it sits on a 16-inch wheel with a touch of similar color. The variant also benefits from a suspension lift (1.1 inches front, 0.5 inches rear), resulting in an approximation angle of 34 degrees, an exit angle of 23.6 degrees and an increase of 26.4 degrees. Lunar Rock joins the 2024 model’s color palette along with Super White, Army Green and Midnight Black Metallic.

Like the TRD Pro, the Tacoma Trail Edition can also be had with a black hood and badge graphics, while the rear bumpers in both versions have similar body colors. The truck lends off-road grade TRD landing gear plates. Trail Edition returns as 4 × 4 Double Cable with a standard rear locking differential.

2024 Toyota Tacoma Electric Release Date and Price

Both variants of Tacoma medium-sized trucks will go on sale this fall. We don’t see any significant price change compared to the 2021 Tacoma, priced at $ 44,325 for the TRD Pro and $ 37,080 for the Trail Edition 4 × 4, respectively.
