The 2023 Toyota Tundra is expected to drive the company’s latest truck chassis. Toyota’s New Global Architecture-F (or TNGA-F) reported that Tundra bodywork on a frame base should benefit from the use of high-strength steel and other heavier-saving materials.
Like the Dodge Ram 1500, the next-generation Tundra will adopt a coil spring that will replace the current truck’s leaf spring to go double behind its life. This will definitely improve the quality of truck driving.

The lower tundra are likely to use Tacoma’s naturally conceived 3.5-liter V-6 engine (possibly massaged to produce more than 300 horses).
Given Toyota’s hybrid history, the brand can offer the 2023 Tundra with petrol-electric hybrid powertrain capabilities, putting it at the forefront of a segment that has just warmed up to electrification. Such an arrangement would allow Toyota trucks to compete properly with the available 2021 Ford F-150 and hybrid powertrains.

Although the mechanical changes are relatively radical, the Toyota Tundra 2023 is expected to evolve in its current truck style. That’s not a bad thing, because the current Tundra eventually grows into skin – the original version looks like a four-wheeled fish – and it comes as pretty harmless, if not neat.
However, look for a large Toyota truck to sport a front design that combines a large grille and high hood, providing the new Tundra with a flashing cup.
The new truck will be based on Toyota’s new F1 architecture, which will be shared with the next-generation Tacoma and Sequoia full-size SUVs. It promises a good more roommates, but higher quality with abundant technology and amenities.

Toyota’s Safety Sense 2.0 will also be equipped with a range of driver’s assistants that include low-light pedestrian detection, radar cruise control, steering assistance departure warning, lane tracking assistance, automatic high beam control, front and amp; rear assistance in the park and identification of road signs.

It says the new Tundra will use the ever-existing version of the Lexus brand, a 3.5-liter V6 hybrid and a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 under the I-Force Max flag, the latter pumping 450 horsepower (335 kilowatts). It is not known whether this hybrid engine will complement or completely replace the 4.6-liter and 5.7-liter V8 units commonly used today.
Power must be transmitted to the rear wheels (or, optionally, to all four) using a six-speed manual transmission or a 10-speed automatic transmission. The truck will have a choice of rear suspension and air spring, as well as dynamic torque vectors with multiple terrain and tracking modes for those who derail regularly.

The new tundra has hard work ahead if it wants a larger slice of full-size cargo pie. Ford’s unstoppable F-150 will soon be electrified, and the Chevrolet Silverado / GMC Sierra and RAM 1500 have a decent look, there’s the Nissan Titan, while Tesla also wants to shake the segment with a fully electric cyber car.
