2023 Toyota Sequoia Platinum – The new generation of the 2023 Toyota Tundra full-size pickup truck will soon make its debut. This only means that in the near future the new Sequoia three-row SUV should arrive. As in the last two generations, the Sequoia will also be closely linked to the Tundra, and both of these new Toyotas will use an updated platform and new six-cylinder powertrains. Probably includes a hybrid.

Toyota’s new trucks will use the carmaker’s TNGA-F body-on-frame platform, which lays the groundwork for the recently announced 300 Series Land Cruiser. Both the Land Cruiser and the Tundra use a sturdy rear axle, but the Sequoia must continue to have an independent rear suspension, which is typical of three-row SUVs. This latest Land Cruiser will not be sold in the US – although it will likely be its upmarket Lexus LX cousin – which means that Sequoia will effectively replace the Land Cruiser at the far end of Toyota’s line of US SUVs.

The picture of our artist shows what a new SUV can look like. Based on a 2023 Toyota photo of the Tundra’s off-road focus TRD Pro. Sequoia is also an option to get. Differences between previous generations were observed in headlights and grills. Therefore, we expect the Sequoia grille to look less dramatic than the new Tundra.

The current Sequoia 381-hp V-8 will most likely be replaced by a twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V-6 engine, which will also replace the new Tundra with energy. The Land Cruiser also produces a 409-horsepower, 479-kilogram engine. It is also likely a hybrid drivetrain using boosted six cylinders; Toyota’s teaser blue for the new iForce MAX powertrain may be a sign of this. Each powertrain will be paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, and rear and four-wheel configurations will be available.

Toyota unveiled some details of the new Tundra brand, including a larger center-mounted touchscreen with Apple CarPlay capability and a look at the JBL sound system (pictured above). This technique should be ported in sequoia. In general, the interior of the new model will be a big improvement over the date cabin of the current model. It has a small 7.0-inch touch screen. These changes will also help sequoia compete with the technology-filled cabins of other three-row SUVs. The Ford Expedition will update the full-size SUV with a new infotainment screen, while the Chevy Tahoe will come with a 10.2-inch touchscreen. As seen in the teaser footage of the new Tundra, Sequoia also needs wireless charging.

Expect to hear more about the new Toyota Sequoia shortly after the Tundra debuts for the first time next month in 2023. It should come by the end of next year. Most likely as a 2023 model to watch the tundra. It will be built at Toyota’s plant in San Antonio, Texas, along with a full-size truck.

While the Toyota Tundra will benefit from a complete redesign for 2023, its SUV, the Sequoia, remains unchanged for 2023. Nevertheless, we think that these two full-size models will once again share the mechanical components that will come in the 2023 model year.

Look for a 2023 toyota sequoia powertrain and platform from the latest Tundra to crib once again. As in previous generations, the Sequoia also has to ride on shorter wheels than the Tundra, which allows it to compete with Chevrolet Tahoe, Ford Expedition, GMC Yukon and Nissan Armada. The long-wheelbase Sequoia is also expected to be a mix to go head-to-head with the Suburban, Expedition Max and Yukon XL. In any case, we strive to make Sequoia once again replace the live rear axle of its truckers (new coil-sprung) with a truck for an independent device.

Like the tundra, the next-generation Sequoia had to buy the current SUV’s burly V-8 engine with a 3.4-liter twin-turbo V-6. 389 hp and 479 lb-ft engines. We fully expect the Tundra’s 437-hp gasoline-electric hybrid i-Force Max powertrain to find its way under Sequoia’s hood as a desired addition. Finally, the TRD Pro model also appears to be given at this point.

Although we have not yet heard anything official about the 2023 Toyota Sequoia, we expect it to change soon. The Japanese carmaker is expected to open a large SUV in 2023. Look for sales to follow shortly.

The current Toyota Sequoia is a car dinosaur at this point. This full-size SUV has undergone several upgrades in production since the 2008 model year. The latter added a modern infotainment system and active driver assistance features. But the moment you drive it, you immediately notice how the segonia coincides with history. But the new generation is just around the corner. Like the current model, it will be body-on-frame, sharing many parts with the upcoming Tundra. Toyota is coming with the new model, as Toyota promises to offer electrified electricity throughout the line by 2025. Will this help this giant beast to compete? This is what we know so far about the 2023 Toyota Sequoia.

2023 Toyota Sequoia exterior

There is no denying that the 2023 Sequoia will be a giant SUV. Wait for it to grow a little on the current model and take the tail from the tundra. This means that it will look completely full with a giant grill and T-shaped LED daytime running lights. The shape of the box will remain, but the latest Toyota-designed wires should go into the Sequoia. This can lead to a more agile look than the current model. This model has softer curves and corners.

2023 Toyota Sequoia brand and technological features

Inside, Toyota’s largest SUV will finally get the much-needed innovation. As before, expect at least four to six trims and different threads. This should include a luxuriously fitted Platinum model with a leather trim and full of all the latest technological features. This means that the lower trims have an 8.0 cm touch screen and the upper ones have a 12.3 cm touch screen. Instead of moving to a fully digital device, the 2023 Sequoia will most likely retain analog dimensions with a 7.0-inch toolbox display in the middle. Second-row captain’s seats should remain the standard choice in smaller versions and occasionally in Platinum. It remains to be seen whether Sequoia will take over the Ottomans found in Sienna.

In terms of driver assistance, Sequoia will receive a full suite as standard, in line with Toyota’s commitment to safety. Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ is the latest version. It builds on previous versions by adding automatic emergency braking capability and emergency management assistance at intersections. It became the “Best Car of 2023” in 2023.

2023 Toyota Sequoia platform and powertrain

The biggest innovations for Sequoia 2023 will be under the skin. Along with the Tundra, Sequoia will move to the upcoming TNGA-F architecture, a new body-on-frame platform specifically for trucks and SUVs. They will use the long-wheelbase version of the Sequoia and Tundra TNGA-F, as they are the largest cars in Toyota’s lineup. To differentiate the Sequoia truck from its siblings, wait for a fully independent suspension to give the SUV superior ride comfort. TRD models are a must-have for those looking for a more capable full-size SUV. The adaptive variable suspension can also be added to Sequoia’s more expensive flavors to further improve overall steering quality.

Powering Sequoia 2023 will most likely be the same twin-turbocharged hybrid V6 that also includes the tundra. According to the report, the TNGA-F platform cannot accommodate anything larger than six cylinders. The hybrid is the only way to get more power. Unlike FWD-based Toyota hybrids, the Sequoia will most likely have a pancake unit where the electric motor is sandwiched between the engine and the transmission. Expect a larger battery than usual for Toyota’s 10-speed auto-changing tasks and the electric motor in the background. The 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 on the Lexus LS generates 416 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque on its own using premium fuel. Toyota’s engine can retune for regular octane, which can result in it gaining less power on its own. Together with the electric motor, it could have a similar output as the LS, but with more torque on the tap. Towing ability can be a hit, because a hybrid system can add more weight to a new SUV, but it will most likely be minimal.

Summary

The 2023 Toyota Sequoia will be a completely different animal from the current model. As electric powertrains become the norm, Sequoia will no longer be the big V8-powered Toyota you get, because it was roomy, smooth, and will last you a long time. When you first arrive, find the same virtues you would expect from a Toyota car, along with all the reasons why you get a full-size SUV only this time around, and you’ll get more torque on your gobs on superior efficiency. Electrification can simply allow Sequoia to further differentiate itself as SUVs continue to dominate the market.
