2022 Toyota Land Cruiser Redesign – While the Toyota LandCruiser 300 series goes in the cross-row, the first detail is reported about its incoming Lexus LX Twin, and there is some big news on the engine front: a twin-Turbo V8 gasoline.

2022 Toyota Land Cruiser Redesign

As reported, the LandCruiser 200 series recently lost its 227kW/439Nm 4.6-litre of course aspirated bent eight and his 300 series successor won’t go back to the V8 well, as a 3.5-litre Twin-Turbo V6 will place the only petrolens option.

On the other hand, the present LX persisted with a naturally aspirated bent eight of its own, a 270kW/530Nm 5.7-litre unit, which Allcarnews reports will be replaced by a twin-Turbo V8 in the new model, as per leak of a recent Lexus dealer conference.

However, this bent eight will not be the only petroengine that is offered in the next LX, as the above 3.5 litres Twin Turbo V6 will also be reputed to be available, though it is in hybrid form, with the electrified power source being shared with the LandCruiser 300 range.

Either way, the report claims the following LX will compete the luxurious ante by endeavouring seriously with the Bentley Bentayga, which currently costs hundreds of thousands of dollars.

This luxurious push is at odds with Toyota’s plans for the LandCruiser 300 series, which will “lose any form of luxurious focus in favor of the hardcore off-Road “, according to the report (see separate story below).

Like the LandCruiser 300 series, the coming LX is expected to use a learning frame version of Toyota’s ubiquitous TNGA platform and only comes with a Quad system when released in 2022.

Last year, there was quite a bit of talking circulating about the strike of the Toyota land Cruiser. Some felt it was over time. Others were drunk. Rumors were common whether this famous and rugged day Toyota SUV was actually discontinued.

Flash forward several months and new information hits the media. We wrote about the possibility of a new hybrid land Cruiser. Once this news entered the scene, we first wondered if it was true and second, or it would make it to the US.

So far, Toyota has been incredibly vague in their limited states. At this point it is still not quite clear that goes with the new Toyota Country Cruiser, including when or an official US release date will be announced.

The new Toyota land Cruiser

According to CarsGuide in Australia, the new 300 series Toyota land Cruiser is set to be a “stripped-out-roier “. The new generation land Cruiser will receive a full makeover including improved frame power. It goes back to its “usefulness roots ” – so we are told.

In addition, the 300 series is said to give buyers three different power input options. We are reasonably confident that the 2.8 litres of Turbo diesel will not make it to the States. If the new Toyota land Cruiser does not hit US production, it will most likely offer only the new 3.5 litres Twin-Turbo V6 engine and its hybrid counterpart. They will only be available in a quad drive.

Toyota Land Cruiser in the USA

This is true, the country Cruiser is no longer a major seller in the US. It is expensive luxury price tag and internal competition of other popular family-size SUVs like the Toyota 4Runner or the Toyota Sequoia.

In addition, the US also has the Lexus LX which is essentially exactly the same car as the country Cruiser. The same frame, the same capabilities, only a slightly higher price. But we want to know. Is the land Cruiser dead in America? Or will the 300 series be making to American production?

So far we see that the Australian release date has been moved to 2021. What kind of timeline can we predict for an American release date? It’s really hard to say. We can only guess, and stitch our fingers that there is another American release date on the Toyota calendar.

Toyota is not yet exactly about the mysterious 300 series of land Cruiser. It is definitely building a little voltage as people around the world begin to move to the edge of their seats as the upcoming release of the new Toyota land Cruiser grows closer. What exactly does Toyota have their sleeve?
