2022 Toyota Land Cruiser Redesign Canada – Toyota Land Cruiser that’s on sale today debuted more than a decade ago in 2008. It has received many upgrades since, keeping the larger SUV competitive amid increasing competition. Sales have not been hit by land cruiser older. However, this does not mean that Toyota is preparing to replace it. A new report from BestCarWeb.jp brought details of the tone of the next generation Land Cruiser, including the August debut and hybrid power.
2022 Toyota Land Cruiser Redesign Canada
Toyota’s jumping hybrid power ground cruiser is off the pitch with other reports about the automaker. Earlier this month, a report said the automaker revived Venza’s nominal plate of pure hybrid vehicles, as well as the next generation Sienna hybrid as well.
But BestCarWeb.jp goes one step further and says the Land Cruiser will utilize a 3.5-liter V6 hybridized powertrain that makes 295 horsepower (220 kilowatts) and 262 pounds of foot (356 Newton meters) of torque. It will replace the current Land Cruiser’s 4.6-liter V8, which is not available in the United States, that makes 313 hp (234 kW) and 339 lb-ft (460 Nm) of torque. It’s unclear whether the 5.7-liter U.S. Land Cruiser will disappear as well. However, this should not be a problem
The publication notes the next-gen Land Cruiser will adopt the Toyota TNGA platform, which supports many of Toyota’s latest models. Not only will it maintain the cruiser ladder frame structure, but the new platform will also help reduce weight, offset power reduction. Gone will be the old six-speed automatic gearbox, replaced by cvt and all-time four-wheel drive.
The next-gen Land Cruiser will get a new look as well, although BestCarWeb.jp history seems to suggest that there will be an evolutionary design change – we use rough translation. It will also feature trapezoidal grilles similar to other recent Toyota vehicles. Inside there will be seats of either five or eight – two or three rows of seats. Expect Toyota’s full suite of amenities and safety features for the next-gen cruiser as well.
BestCarWeb.jp says we’ll see a new Land Cruiser this summer, which feels like soon considering we’re yet to see one test mule. Toyota could be keeping the large SUV under tight blankets, too. Either way, it deserves a redesign, even if sales continue to trend.
